I am not able to upgrade my B1. What can I do?

The firmware update procedure is as follows:

  1. Remove Battery
  2. Press TEST button for at least 1 min
  3. Insert USB cable to computer and B1
  4. The B1 sounds: “beep-beep-beep” -> If no sound; disconnect USB cable and start over from 2 above, until sound is heard.
  5. Drivers are now installing
  6. The Upgrade button is lit on the Upgrade application. Click it
  7. The Upgrade is running
  8. DONE.

For the PC/Win:
IF the B1 DO give the sound BUT the Upgrade still can not start (Either step 5 or step 6 above is prevented), this is most likely caused by a fault when installing the USB drivers.
THEN try to;

  1. Switch to another USB contact on the computer
  2. Disconnect all USB and restart the computer / Reinserting ONLY the USB for the B1 at Step 3 above
  3. Try another computer
  4. Switch the USB cable to a new one

For the MAC:
IF the B1 DO give the sound BUT the upgrade still can not start (Either step 5 or step 6 above is prevented);
The MAC has no need for USB drivers but is known to sometimes have issues with recognizing insert of USB units.
The only remedy is to try and disconnect and reinsert the USB cable AND/OR disconnect all other USB units from the computer.
