The B1X is battery powered and you don’t need to worry about finding electrical supply when you shoot on location. With the D2 you need to have electrical supply or a battery inverter. If you tend to shoot with more lights inside the studio, then the D2 can be a good choice because the D2 and the B1X work perfectly together. The benefit of this is that D2 is available in 1000ws, is faster and also offers more powerful modeling light.
