New Features and Enhancements

Comments

    •    Comments Tab in Preview (Work Order Only):

    •    All assets now display a “Comments” tab during preview, accessible exclusively within a Work Order.

    •    Multiline comments are supported (press “Enter” for a new line).

    •    Edited comments display an (edited) flag. Hovering over the flag reveals the exact date and time of the edit.

    Comment Grouping and Sorting:

    •    Comments are grouped by version with the version number incrementing automatically.

    •    Within each version, comments are sorted by creation date (ascending), with the newest at the bottom.

    •    Comments remain in their original order even after edits.

    •    Grouping also reflects relevant time stamps (e.g., “2 hours ago”).

    •    The (edited) flag only appears when content changes.

    Asset Card Redesign:

    •    Asset cards have been redesigned with improved border interactions for better usability.

    •    Unresolved Comments Count:

    •    The system displays an unresolved comments count if there is at least one unresolved comment.

    •    The comments tab in preview shows the total count of comments.

    •    Comment Restrictions (Resolved Comments):

    •    Edits, deletions, and replies are locked for resolved comments.

    •    Resolved comments display who resolved them and when.

Comment Actions:

    •    Add New Comment: Available to all users.

    •    Edit: Only available to the comment creator.

    •    Reply: Open to all users.

    •    Resolve: Users can resolve their own or others’ comments without updating the updated_at timestamp.

    •    Reopen: Available to all users.

    •    Delete: Restricted to the comment creator.

    •    Tooltips: Hovering over specific elements (usernames, timestamps, bubbles) displays tooltips with additional information.

External User Sharing:

    •    External Access (Per Customer Basis):

    •    Sharing Work Orders (WO) with external users is supported.

    •    Shared Work Orders are download-only by default.

    •    Users can send email invitations through the shared user list.

    •    External Access Options:

    •    Preview (default)

    •    Comment (default)

    •    Download

    •    Approve (if the Work Order has approvals enabled)

    •    External User Features:

    •    Preview and comment capabilities are enabled.

    •    Asset downloads are permitted for external users.

Approval Flow:

    •    Per Work Order Approval:

    •    Approval can be enabled or disabled on a per-Work Order basis.

    •    Supports approvals by both normal and external users.

    •    Approvers see approval actions directly in the asset preview if the following conditions are met:

    •    Approval module is enabled.

    •    Approval is enabled for the Work Order.

    •    User is assigned as the approver.

    •    Work Order is active (not archived).

    •    Asset status is pending approval.

Work Order Asset Filters:

    •    New Filtering Options for Assets in Work Orders:

    •    By Asset Status

    •    By Approval Status:

    •    Approved

    •    Rejected

    •    Pending (respecting Work Order settings)

    •    Under Approval (fetches pending, approved, and rejected statuses)

    •    By Unresolved Comments

    •    By Product-Related Assets

    •    Hanging Assets:

    •    Assets without products or without mapped Styleguide views.

    •    Filter Button:

    •    A dedicated filter button is now available in the Work Order asset list.

Bug Fixes and Optimizations

    API Updates:

    •    Fixed issues with the Product endpoint update process.

    •    UI Improvements:

    •    Task import is locked until file uploads are fully completed (progress bar added).

    •    Product import has been refactored to inform users of incorrect mapping configurations.

    •    Uploading assets is now done directly within the Assets tab of a Work Order.

This update streamlines collaboration, improves the clarity of asset feedback, and enhances external sharing options for Work Orders.
