Eclipse Safety

When using Eclipse, you need to take special care during operation, as there are several moving parts, hinges and doors that can swing open.

We have taken great care to design Eclipse to be inherently safe by covering moving parts where possible, and making its operation intuitive.

Front doors

Front Doors swing sideways and house frontal Fill lights.

  • Open the Front Door by placing one hand on the dark gray metal grip at the bottom edge.
  • Do not place your hands on the parallel hinges behind the doors, to avoid fingers getting trapped during movement.

Side doors

Side Doors articulate upwards on gas dampers and house the Striplights and Backwall lights.

  • Open by pulling with your hand(s) by the groove on the bottom edge.
  • Close by pulling with your hand(s) by the groove on the bottom edge.
  • Do not place your hands on other parts than the bottom side edge of the door when opening and closing, to avoid fingers getting trapped between the door and neighboring elements.

Camera Arc

The Camera Arc in Eclipse moves up and down, and the camera head contains both a tilt and a zoom feature.

  • Keep your hands clear from the Camera Arc at all times.
  • Keep your hands clear from the Camera Head at all times.
  • If you need to clean the lens, make sure the machine is fully powered off (unplugged from mains) before touching the lens. Note that under normal operation, the lens can be kept clean by blowing air on it periodically.
