Introduction
Invite new users is central to almost all studios. It is the best way to make sure that you have all the peaople onboard that you need.
Pre-requisite
In order to invite users you need to have a role that is defined for inviting users, please see User roles below.
Inviting a user
To invite new users, please follow these steps:
- Click on Settings/Users
- Click on the symbol of a person with a plus sign
- To right in the table of users
- Fill in the fields
- First name
- Last name
- Title (optional)=
- User role
- Make sure that the tick box for "Send invitation notification" is selected
- Send the invite
- An invitation mail is sent to the recipient.
- If this fail, please copy the invite link that apears in the table and send separately
NOTE 1: The invite email may end up in the recipients Junk mail so if the recipient can't find the invitation please ask them to look in the junk mail.

Once the user receives the invitation he/she will have to set their own unique password to get access, this is done via the invitation link.
Link is valid for 8 days
The link is active for 8 days and if the user has not signed in by then, the link will be useless. The best way to get around this is to delete the user invite and redo the above procedure
User Roles
When the application is delivered we have configured an "Admin" role and a "User" role. This can be used out of the box.
However, we acknowledge that companies may have the need for more roles with different permissions. Therefore, we may set up as many roles as. are needed. This is normally done during onboarding but if you realise later that you need more roles, please contact the Profoto support team and they will help you.
