What do I need to consider if I want to use my flash outside?

Our flashes are certified for indoor use and warranty does not cover damages caused by internal water or sand. If a flash is used outside it is important to keep it protected from such elements. The recommended operating temperature for a Profoto flash is generally between 0°C and 35°C for full performance. If battery flashes are used in cold environments we recommend to keep the batteries in room temperature before use. If a flash is brought from a cold environment into a warm environment we recommend to let it rest a couple of hours before use to avoid internal condensation.
