For credit card payments Profoto use 3D Secure authorization to avoid fraud. If your credit card payment has been denied it’s most likely that the 3D secure failed.
The 3D secure requires you to complete an additional verification step with thecard issuer when paying. Typically, an authentication page on your bank’s website to enter a password associated with the card or a code sent to your phone.
The banks are in control of this process, so if your payment got denied please contact your bank and ask them why the authorization request failed.
This process is familiar to customers through the card networks’ brand names, such as Visa Secure and Mastercard Identity check.
