Start by downloading the firmware file from the Profoto Support page. Go to the “Product firmware update” page and select your product. Click on the "Download latest firmware" link on the page, PC or Mac.
Open the downloaded ZIP folder on your computer, then launch the firmware upgrade tool:
- Windows: Open the .exe file.
- Mac: Open the .dmg file.
Follow the step-by-step instructions in the upgrade tool. Once the device is connected to the computer with a compatible USB cable, the “Click here to start upgrade” button will become active. Click the button and leave the device connected until you receive confirmation that the update is complete.
Note:
- Make sure you use a USB cable that supports data transfer. If the upgrade button does not become active, try another
cable. Some cables are only for charging a product and cannot be used. - Mac users may need to check the computer’s Privacy & Security settings and allow access to the USB device.
