Post-production - Overview

Modified on Fri, 19 Jul at 10:42 AM

Introduction

Post production are the activities related to handle assets after they have been shot. In most cases this focuses on retouching but it may also include renaming of assets, distribution and quality control.

If you are using the full functionality of ProStudio you will, already at capture, have the right number of images; they will be named correctly; and they will be related to the right product ant the right view. This means that you may focus your attention on the retouching and asset visual quality.

Post-production

With ProStudio we focus on retouching and asset quality. For the retouching part, most studios rely on external partner, either to 100 % or partly.

How ProStudio supports both variants are described in more detail under:

  1. Internal post-production - using your own staff
  2. External post-production - using external partners

External partners can be of-shore companies offering low cost labor to provide retouching services or high tech firms offering ai-driven retouching. The main difference is that high tech firms often use advanced, API built, on line services for their communication while of-shore companies often rely on simpler communication services such as FTP, We Transfer, DropBox or similar.

For those that use companies like Pixelz and Bright River and want to utilise their advanced API services we have built a specific workflow for this purpose. For more information about how to set this up, please refer to the the section "Advanced features" and read:
