A1X/A10 does not start after update

Modified on Tue, 26 Mar at 8:50 AM

If the firmware update is interrupted your A1x/A10 unit can be left in update mode, and not respond to any button presses. This could happen if the cable is removed and/or the battery is depleted during update.

To exit update mode, you need to remove the battery and then restart the device, resulting in two scenarios:

1) Your device restarts as normal.
The interruption occurred before the update started (but during the update COPY phase), you will need to initiate the update again.

2) Your device do not respond.

It has been interrupted during the actual firmware update, and your unit will NOT work as expected.
The screen will NOT start and unit will NOT respond to any button presses.

But, the hardware in the device will still work as expected, meaning that if set to "Update mode" (Attach battery, then PRESS+HOLD top right button and PRESS ON button) unit will be able to update correctly via USB cable.
