Introduction

In ProStudio, we implement a Product first platform. This means setting up your workflow by identifying the products to be shoot and then find the matching photo sample. For this reason we have introduced “Products” into the platform, holding all the relervant product data to make planning for your tem more productive.

Products

The purpose of having Product data in the Studio is to help the studio work more efficiently. By adding more relevant data to the studio workflow, like product categories, colors, descriptions and gender information, it will help organise the studio workflow.

Unique identifier

The core of ProStudio uses a UNQUE IDENTIFIER to identify each product. In ProStudio, one of the columns in the product listing is used to separate two products from each other, this means that you can not identify a product by, for example, identify a product as “T-Shirt white”, the next time you want to shote a white t-shirt you will overwrite the data for the first #T-shirt white".

Functions

Search and Filters

By using the search and filter function you can narrow down the product selection and take actions on a smaller, more relevant data set. Searching will allow you to search between attributes that you have in the Product listing, such as SKU, Product name, Category, Color, etc.

Filter is another feature to isolate Product data. In the filters view you may use functions like:

  • And/OR
  • Include/Exclude

Used in combination with the tagging function it becomes a powerful tool for planning your work ahead.

NOTE: The filter view can be configured to fit your workflow, please refer to System Configuration, Product Attributes

Projects

The “Projects” function is used to split up the Product listing. This may prove helpful when you want to separate seasons, brands or clients (in case of being a service provider)

Please refer to Product overview, Projects, for more information

Search and Scan

This function is useful when you want to build a list of Products that you want to perform multiple actions on. This is also helpful if you want to build a list and save the list for later use, the list will remain intact until you decide that you clear the list.

Once you have a preferred list, you may perform multiple actions towards this list without losing the made selection.

Actions

The actions menu is used to manage your Product data. The following actions are available:

  • Add to work order
  • Check-in/out
  • Delete products
  • Edit products
  • Edit project(s)
  • Edit tags
  • Export to excel
  • Import
  • New product

Columns

The "Columns" function allow you to select what information to view when working with the platform.

NOTE: The "Columns" function is user dependent and all users can have their own settings.

Product data

Standard configurations

When ProStudio is set up for, it is done using one of the following templates:

  • Wholesale brands
  • Retailers
  • Content service providers

We acknowledge the fact that companies have different requirements that are unique to their type of operation. The templates are used to speed up onboarding process.

The template based configuration come with predefined attribute, including attributes that cannot be deselected:

  • Check-in/out – Related to sample management
  • NO assets – Indicates how many assets there are
  • Work orders – Where have this product been planned

Customisation options

The standard fields can be renamed and reorganised to better suit your specific way of working. Furthermore, new attributes can be added, these attributes can be other then plain text fields. Please refer to System Configuration, Product Attributes, for more information.

NOTE: Customization of Product attributes requires you to have the “Custom Configuration” set to active. Please contact your local ProStudio admin or the Profoto support team for more information.

Tags

The "Tags" function is a special feature that allows you to add tags to Products in order to enhance filter and search capabilities. It may also support your team by easily understanding how to plan different types of Products.

For example: When importing a whole season and want to make a rough plan on what to shoot on model and whant to shoot on mannequin, you can easily sort and filter the data by then tagging the Products according to market strategy.
